ABOUT MARIE

Marie Timbers is an acrylic and collage/mixed media painter. Her images explore many themes, usually landscape based - impressionist and abstract in their design. Vibrant colour, texture and a sense of three dimensional form is her signature.

Marie has studied painting, life drawing and sculpture at the Haliburton School of Art, the Toronto School of Art and through workshops. She has participated in numerous juried shows and group exhibitions in galleries in Toronto, York Region and Belleville. She is a member of the Quinte Arts Council, the Tweed and Area Arts Council, the Tweed Studio Tour and the Artist Network of Riverdale.

Grist Mill Studio is in Plainfield on the Moira River – in what was once the Plainfield Grist Mill, general store and post office.
