Barns in Winter
"Barns in Winter" - by Ursula Ossenberg

Ursula lived in Kingston from 1976 to 1992, when she moved to the beautiful Land 0' Lakes area of Eastern Ontario, also known as "Mazinaw Country", to CLOYNE, Ontario, where her home/studio is located.

Ursula has been painting in oils for more than 30 years using the palette knife technique.

Abstracts have a special place in Ursula'spainting career. These paintings are expressions of feelings in soft, flowing lines in vivid colours.

Ursula shows her work mostly at Juried Art Exhibitions, in Group Shows, or at her Studio of course. Her work has been placed throughout the world in corporate offices and private homes.
My favourite subject is nature, such as wildflower meadows, rocky lakeshores, snowy winter trails, beaver ponds and autumn landscapes. I find endless inspiration for paintings in the immediate surroundings, including the famous Bon Echo Rock in Bon Echo Provincial Park.

When you ask me about my work, I will tell you that I "live in my paintings". My innate love for the natural surroundings in which I live, is expressed directly and beautifully in bold palette knife strokes in some cases, and in soft, misty renderings in others.

To own an Original Ursula Oil Painting will be a lasting, joyful experience.
