'Art in the Park 2007' was a successful weekend.

Art in the Park – Tweed – was held on the weekend of August 11 and 12 in the Memorial Park with co-operation from the Kiwanis Club of Tweed. Many local artisans had their art on display.
A scarecrow from 2006 was on display.
Response to this activity was very well received. |

Jack Vance and Audrey Ross provided painting demonstrations and Paul Shier showed the art of sculpting.
The Tweed & Area Arts Council had a presence with a table filled with information on past and present
events.
Many residents and “out of towners” commented how pleased they are to see that Tweed is being
pro-active in establishing an Arts Council for the area.

Paul Shier will be travelling to Florence, Italy to display some of his sculptures. His attendance is by invitation and so this is a true honour and, once again, he will be an ambassador in putting Tweed & Area on the map!

It was a beautiful weekend, weather-wise, and people who visited Art in the
Park were well rewarded for their attendance.
